July 2024
July 2024
The spring storms kicked off the year with a vengeance. Our sources indicate that over 4MM housing units in the US have been hit with > 2” hail already this year. We’re all up to our knees in work, and the temptation to put off back-office work and customer billing until things slow down is real. But what if you could have it all: More revenue, more checks coming in, AND—the cherry on top—more money in the bank so you can make this your most successful sales and marketing program yet? That, my friends, is the power of healthy cash flow.

Your July Must-Dos
Here are the top seven things to do to ensure your roofing business makes the most out of the summer selling season.
- Review your financial statements (profit, cash flow, and balance sheets) to ensure you’re in the best position possible heading into summer.
- Submit your Q2 financials to us at SquareDash so we can review your claim funding line and boost your cash flow.
- Supplement proactively to ensure your property owners get the beautiful roof they deserve.
- Collect all outstanding invoices to ensure you’re set up for the quickly approaching off-season.
- Request claim funding on finished jobs so that we can start working on getting those difficult checks from insurance companies for you.
- Don’t stop selling. With the above steps in place, you’ll have enough cash flow to take on even more jobs, so take this nice weather as far as possible.
- Ask happy customers for referrals. Word-of-mouth is powerful for the roofing business, so don’t hesitate to ask happy property owners for a referral.
Wondering Why Your AR Balance is the Biggest Number on your Financial Statement?
We’ve got you. Our national account executive, Heath Gover, has decades of experience in the roofing industry—and he’s here to help you stop being a bank for insurance companies. Schedule a consultation with Heath today, and he’ll help you turn those receivable balances into cash in hand before the summer is over.
